Should I stop the formula at night?

Ebf my baby the last nine weeks.. the night time has been rough to say the least. Baby is up every hour an half to hours looking fed. No matter what. I think we have had one night where he slept from 10-4am. I went and got the nannycarw goat milk formula and give it to him last night to see if it helps with him sleeping at night. He slept from 9pm-4am!! Which was great.. I breast fed him at 4 and will do all day. The bed time feed I'm thinking will be a bottle. But all i have done is cry. Thinking I'm being selfish and depriving my Child. Has anyone else felt guilty for doing anything like this? Or am I just being stupid. Should I go back to breastfeeding before bed and see it through? Hope that he does sleep the night through at some point?

How old is baby? They aren't meant to be sleeping through the night so waking up to feed is 100% normal. The hormone responsible for your supply is at its highest at night between 12am-5am, feeding is crucial at that time to keep up the supply. If giving him formula before bed is making you feel low then go back to breastfeeding... its up to you how you do this but yea, waking up for a feed is normal. Maybe, yea eventually he will sleep "through" the night. Pssst... a lot of adults don't even sleep through the night so I wouldn't worry too much about a baby not doing it 😊
