I’ve not had any appointments yet They only confirmed it with blood test Wen I say months I mean like if I’m 8 I was taking them wen I was 4 as I didn’t know ? I don’t have periods so in June what I thought was a period - could of now been the implantation- but as I didn’t know n been feeling unwell for 3 months now I was taking cold n flu tablets & they have 6.1 in them
From what I’ve read it’s blood vessels n supply to placenta. There’s not enough studies you’re right there but I can mean birth defects? 😢
I would just talk to your provider at your next appointment then. The research isn't concrete and thousands of women take medications before they know they're pregnant and nearly all of them end up just fine. Try not to let the anxiety win.
Thankyou for replying It’s next week wen I have my first appointment Honestly, I’m trying not to I think as things weren’t exactly done right with my first - daughter I eat it to be different this time
Hi! The whole month of February I was sick. Like sick as a dog! I had a stomach virus, the flu, DOUBLE PINK EYE, and it just felt like I wasn't getting better! I was taking cold and flu medicine and all kinds of other things to get better. Well in March I found out I was pregnant. I also at the time took antidepressants and I'm now 31 weeks, baby boy is perfectly healthy and so am I. All of this to say do not worry! There are people who go a whole pregnancy not knowing they're pregnant and they still do all the things even smoke and drink. ALSO DONT GOOGLE. It just makes the anxiety way worse and does nothing for you!
If you took them months ago and everything has been normal in your pregnancy then I doubt any issues would crop up now. According to the NIH the reason phenylephrine is not recommended in pregnancy is because it hasn't been studied, not because it has been found to cause harm.
