I'm just getting my boy a toddler bike and helmet for his birthday. I buy him things throughout the year so don't feel I need to buy him loads just on one day. He'll get loads from family as well and don't want to clutter up the house with things he won't use. He's happier just being outside feeding the ducks and pointing out bugs than playing with toys so would just be wasting money.
Ours doesn’t have anything from us to open. Nothing to worry about IMO X
We are just doing a couple of presents and a family day out for the memories. We will no doubt be spending loads on presents throughout the coming years when they can decide what they want!
I’m the same. My son’s bday is in October, I’m just getting him a train set (he’s obsessed with trains) and taking him away on a caravan holiday for his bday where there is lots of children’s entertainment. He won’t pay attention to who got him what anyway and tbh I don’t want my home being filled with more shite he’ll only play with for 10 minutes 😂 which he’s bound to get a lot of from family anyway.
Do what you need to do! They don’t need a lot ☺️ I’ve bought mine far too much because she’s my second and I have such a complex of her not getting as much as her sister did so I overcompensate 😂 but I’ll probably keep a lot of it for Christmas or even her birthday next year 🙈
