Chemical pregnancy vs miscarriage

I lost my pregnancy in July I was 5w4d when I started spotting I still tested positive until an hour after spotting I got a negative test. Was just wondering if that would be considered a chemical pregnancy or miscarriage since it was 4days past the 5 week mark. I just got a positive test today 11dpo and I’m just wondering how long I should keep testing to see the progress and whether or not I can take a deep breath once I get passed the 6 week mark or do I still need to worry since I already had a miscarriage. My first time being pregnant I had a healthy baby so this is all new and very stressful to me.

I could've written this post, exactly the same circumstances as me, minus the new positive test. I also wrote a post asking if it was a chemical vs miscarriage and someone said it's still a miscarriage regardless of if it's considered to be chemical, it's still a loss. Try not to worry with your new pregnancy. Miscarriage rates drop significantly after the 12 week mark, but you aren't more likely to miscarry just because you've had a miscarriage already. Congratulations and fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you this time❤️

Any loss is a miscarriage but prior to 5 weeks is called a chemical. Unfortunately losses do still happen after 6 weeks but one loss doesn’t mean you’re more likely to have another. I had a missed miscarriage at around 7 weeks then a chemical, and I’m now 26 weeks pregnant. It’s really just luck of the draw. Try to relax, get plenty of sleep and eat healthily. Congrats on your new pregnancy!x

It’s called a chemical when its that early but it’s still a miscarriage. I’m so sorry for your loss . Just because you had one doesn’t mean you will have another! I had one after 2 healthy babies and currently 25 weeks with my rainbow . I would say call your dr and have them run your blood to keep an eye on hcg levels! I was worried about my current pregnancy till after 12 weeks . Congratulations!

So sorry. Before 6 weeks it’s a chemical. I had two miscarriages after 6 weeks. I didn’t exhale until I had my baby in my arms 😅
