These are testing your thyroid function not pregnancy so you won’t be able to tell from here. They’d need to do a HCG test x
Why does it say pregnancy 😂 stupid x
It’s saying what the normal ranges of thyroid function are in pregnancy. So if you are suspected pregnant, you’re within normal levels, but it doesn’t confirm a pregnancy. Maybe give them a call to request a HCG draw or take another test xx
It says pregnancy because normal THS levels are different in pregnancy and when not pregnant. So if pregnancy is suspected they give pregnancy ranges x Have a look if there are any other results there! X
I did try, I’ve got to ring up on the 13th to make another appointment for 2 weeks after that 🙁 still testing negative so I don’t get it if all my levels are normal x
Ok, so it looks like they didn't test your hCG, perhaps assuming that a negative test means you are not pregnant and they've run other tests to perhaps look for reasons why you've not had your period yet...
OR the hCG results haven't come through yet
I don’t think they tested for hcg but I just wondered why it was on there about pregnancy but I’m not. It’s so confusing and upsetting
Ok, I think I know. Looking at my previous tsh results, they ALWAYS show pregnancy ranges because they are different (it's a guidance for a clinician looking at the results). For example, if you look at the T4 test (one of the thyroid markers), the non-pregnancy range is in square brackets [12.0-22.0] and then the pregnancy ranges are below but they are only applicable to pregnant women. In other words, it's just a standard note attached to thyroid assays, it doesn't mean that they think you're pregnant. I know it's confusing but I think given the negative tests it is safe to assume you are not pregnant x
Thankyou that’s really helpful. I just wish the doctor would actually speak to me instead of waiting weeks! X
@Becca there isn’t one?
