If you don't like the way it's pronounced with an American accent, and likely a southern one being in Tennessee, I'd pick a different name. I have an Ecuadorian coworker who can't pronounce my other coworker's son's name which is Judson. It sounds like Johnson every time he says it so he'll either call him JC or Judd which are two nicknames the parents have already chosen.
As someone who lives in Tennessee from the west coast.....don't let how the southerners pronounce things ruin the name. 🤣 Southern twang can ruin the most simple words.....ask someone from the south to say oil or Louisville it'll drive you crazy. Just do you boo. Give the baby the name you want. As someone with a European name I've spent many days correcting people on saying it the right way and came out just fine..well when it came to people screwing my name up at least 🤣
Stick to your name. People might say it differently in different regions, but that’s just the way it is
I’m American, living in the UK the last 10 years. In the UK my name is pronounced TAN-ya (like going tanning) and I hate it, and hate correcting people bc they wouldn’t naturally pronounce it properly. My advice is to find a name that is pronounced how you want it to be according to where you intend to raise your child, as this is likely also how they will learn to say it, and possibly prefer later in life themselves!

@Amy I'm not sure how we could change it - again, similar sound to UK h-AH-rry vs US h-AI-rry - but yeah worried how she'll pronounce it herself as she grows up!
