Polyhydramios can develop at any stage throughout pregnancy, I got diagnosed with it at 37 weeks with my first with no known cause (GD results all came back fine).
I’m the same with needing the loo all night and thirsty aswell so drinking lots (can’t win). Never comfy and just try to rest and relax as much as I can. Unfortunately with gestational diabetes… it can develop as the pregnancy progresses due to hormone changes. They can control it with medication though if needed. It’s all very overwhelming and I don’t think they do explain things very well in my opinion. I had a medical professional lose their temper with me (only yesterday) … I was only asking sensible questions. Horrible experience. Wishing you luck and hopefully improved sleep 🤞 xx
@Tanya was baby okay? Just feel like it’s extra to worry about and of course I googled it 🤦🏼♀️
Yeah baby was absolutely fine and healthy! I did opt for an induction at 39+1 though as it was starting to worry me too but it all turned out okay. They should offer to monitor you with scans for the remainder of your pregnancy to keep an eye on everything, waters can fluctuate so they may also decrease for you as well.
I feel your pain. I haven't slept a full night in about a month. Baby is engaged and has been for weeks so I am constantly making loo trips, couldn't count how many throughout the night when it's worse. The lightening crotch is unreal and I feel like I can't walk at times as I'm getting shooting pains with each step. Had some bloody plug come away which worried me and I'm also now just starting to panic about having a new born again! Cannot wait for a proper night's sleep which could be some time down the line now! Roll on, 6 weeks left of this. Hope your test comes back okay.
