Hello and How are You?

I joined this group to learn and share. My hormonal experiences have been very different from the majority of my friends. And yet, as with many aspects of life, you don’t always have to experience something to have respect for the issue and compassion for the people. Now, this being said when it comes to both my body and aging I am trying to live in the reality of I’m not getting faster. But…I believe I am getting better and this is why I wanted to write you. What are or have you been learning through your journey of menopause? Would you be willing to share? I have a presentation on how to manage mental wellbeing and I would love to hear what you might be willing to share. Jessica 🍎

Thank you Kim. I’m smiling too as I just had some kefir for breakfast. Do you have more that you might share here? I’m glad you mentioned nutrition as our panel will discuss the medical, nutritional and mental aspects of menopause. It sounds like you are ahead of the issue…well done!

I'm learning as I go, as far as the hot flashes I try to get in front of a fan or ac while those happen. I was perimenopausal before breast cancer then got kicked into menopause during chemo. It has not been a fun ride this far

Tabitha, here’s a toast 🥂 to learning as you go. I hear you! I’ve avoided hot flashes so far. And soon I will be speaking to mental wellbeing during times of hot flashes and beyond. Any perspectives to share on this. Are you able to prepare as stated with a fan on standby? A cousin in Florida has a cooling fan with water 🌫️ misting machine she wears around her neck.

Tabitha how are you in the moment and in general?

I'm learning as I go lol. But I got back and forth between Hot and freezing . I have a fan ready at all times lol
