@Olivia Thanks for replying. They failed to implant. I have had HSG, hysteroscopy with biopsy & blood tests where they took 7 vials, I have no idea what they were checking for. I will have to confirm. Our Dr was against PGT-A said it could be a waste of money. As this is all funded, I'm seeking external private advice as they aren't the best clinic.
Unfortunately I don’t think you will get all the tests you need on the NHS, private clinics offer much much more. It shouldn’t be the case, but it is! X
@Jane Sorry was meant to say, the additional testing I'm seeking privately.
@Sadie the clinics that offer the most testing are ARGC and CRGH. For MFI Claire Mooney is very good
I had recurrent implantation failure and went on to have a hysteroscopy that diagnosed scar tissue on my lining. Once treated 3rd transfer stuck.
@Jane Thanks, I will have a look. I eed to find somewhere that only does testing and no actual IVF, as I still have 3 frozen.
Hey Sadie, I’ve just had my fifth failed transfer, two resulted in earlier miscarriages! I’ve done a lot of testing but paid to see a private Gynae and he has suggested lap surgery to check for endo, a Hysteroscopy and a biopsy of my lining! Not sure if you’ve had any of these? X
@Lucie I had the hysteroscopy and biopsy and both came back clear. Would would lap surgery check for?
@Sadie I’m having it to check for silent endo, he is also going to check my womb/uterus etc to see if there’s anything else that a ultrasound wouldn’t show! I need to just rule it out because it’s playing on my mind every time we have a failed transfer and because of our age i can’t accept it’s just down to embryos! We’ve transferred two AA’s and 1 AB too so they’re good quality ones
@Lucie Could the silent endo cause implantation failures then? Interesting. We haven't had our PGT-A tested either, was advised against it.
@Sadie it can make it difficult especially if you don’t suppress 3 months before a transfer if you do have endo! Taking estrogen is the worst thing you can do for endo, so I’m at a point where I need answers and just need to know if there is anything
@Lucie Interesting, wonder if my clinic will suggest it. Especially giving my uterus lining only tends to get to 6.2mm & if I ake any form of estrogen, it is even thinner.
I would definitely be doing PGT-A after 4. When you say failed FET’s did they fail to implant completely or any failed to develop? Things you could discuss looking at: - thorough bloods- looking at autoimmune factors, blood clotting factors, MTHFR gene mutation, thyroid, Vit D - Hycosy & HSG, even endometrial tissue biopsy -Laparoscopy to check for endometriosis - DNA panel to see if you & partner are carriers of any genetic diseases (this is different than PGT-A) - PRP for your lining For reference, all of these were at least offered to me after 2 failed FET(Self funded)
