Understanding results chart?
Hello. I’m feeling very defeated. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person but for the life of me cannot understand if I am interpreting these tests or results correctly. Did I try on the correct day? I am allegedly 4 days before period is due and tests have come back negative. Any help or guidance would be so appreciated. thank you.
So after your LH peak the egg will be released within 24 hours. After the egg is released it lives for about 24 hours. So you've got a 48 hour window after peak. Obviously you can't know if you're doing a test at the exact moment you're peaking, but it gives you a pretty close estimate. The sperm can live for up to 5 days inside you, so having sex before ovulation within that timeframe could also lead to pregnancy. So yes, you have had sex within your fertile window and this could lead to conception. But each month even if you do everything right there's only a 20-25% chance of conceiving successfully, so if it doesn't work don't be disheartened, it's not necessarily anything you're doing wrong
