Honestly quitting was the hardest thing I've done in a long time as a heavy smoker of 9 years. I tried lots of times and always failed until I went slow and steadily decreased what I smoked.I started by reducing my intake over the course of a month each month until I could stop. From an ounce a week to a half, a half to a quarter, a quarter to a eighth until I was only smoking first thing in the morning and right before bed. Then I dropped the morning smoke. After a few weeks of only smoking at night only I would ask my husband (who still smoked) if I could sit in the hot box but I wouldn't smoke. I did this until I didn't even think about it anymore. I was constantly sick to my stomach, I never had an appetite, and I was CRABBY. It was hard but it was really rewarding to fight so hard and see the results I wanted.
I've never smoked myself but I watched my ex give up. I do think a big part of it is actually wanting to do it. Not because other people want you to or because you feel like you should, but because you actually WANT to. He used nicotine lozenges and they worked really well tbh! (Vaping wasn't a thing then). I hate vaping though, you're just swapping one thing for another
The first few weeks are hard not gonna lie, I was super irritated lol but finding a different muse worked for me. I started reading but try finding something else you can enjoy just as much š
Iām sorry. Something happened with me as well-i had an edible and it made me sick and my kid was there. I called someone to come get him but feel guilty to this day. Hasnāt stopped me from smoking upsettingly
@Cara yeah our neighbors had called the cops saying they smelled weed. And they came and nothing bad happened but all I could think about was my kids and my āfriendā said my kids were in the house but didnāt say nun about hers. I havenāt smoked since then and it was 4 days ago

I started only smoking out of my pen ( cause I hate them lmao) then I weaned myself off. I also really like coffee so I will fixate on coffee when I need the distraction.
