Who's up?

Brand new Mama to a perfect 3-day-old and I'm up since he WILL NOT sleep in his bassinet so far. I hate being the last one up- and sleep horribly without my husband in bed, but for now it seems we're forced to sleep in shifts. I know this is normal but feeling very lonely and kind of unsure right now. Anyone else up?

I work 3rds so I’m definitely up! When my kiddos were up in the middle of the night I would take that opportunity to catch up on some doom scrolling and tv shows 😂 how’s post partum life treating you thus far?

It's great in a lot of ways and harder than expected in others. The anxiety is juuuust starting ro creep in a bit, but he is 100% worth it!

I’m up! For no reason because my 2 week old is sleeping.. but I honestly feel like cleaning my whole house right now lol

hey girl!! i’m up too w my 2 week old baby. he refuses to sleep in the bassinet and my fiance works overnights, so it’s just me and my little baby.

Yup my 18 month old still wakes up in the middle of his sleep! You learn to just not sleep as much as take naps when you can

Don’t worry mama, my son hates his bassinet too. I have 3 and he hates all of them. Which bassinet do you have?

I’m up my sleep schedule off mammas 😭 u tried getting him a white noise/night light machine I have one and I give him a bath at 10 warm bottle warm blanket then when he’s sleep put him in the bassinet and turn the night light on with sum music playing on low he sleeps during the night till I miss him and move him in my bed

We're up on the couch. I still have to do dishes. 16 month old is asleep. She went to sleep earlier because she didn't nap today.

Katy, how special 3 day old..brand new life. ❣️ We slept together in bed and baby was in our room in a bassinet. She woke up every couple of hrs for nursing. It was tough. It gets better. Take good care of yourself.

My husband just went back to work last week. He is a pilot so that means 3 to 4 days at a time he is gone and I have to do nights all on my own. It’s tough for sure and the anxiety definitely creeps in when I can’t get baby to sleep in his bassinet. But I’m also learning that I can do it even though it’s really hard. The first night he was gone baby did not sleep at all unless in my arms which meant I got zero hours of sleep. The anxiety that night was bad but it gets a little easier each night. If you ever need a friend to deal with not going crazy during the late nights message me 🙂

This is why/how I coslept with both my babies. Google safe sleep 7. It was the only way I got sleep

My son was similar but I got a different mattress and it was a game changer. So was white noise! This time I’m also going to warm the bassinet first too. With a little heat pack.

Is cosleeping an option? They are still so little and it’s normal for them to want to be near you

@Miranda unfortunately not an option for us. My husband tosses and turns, and we have a friend who lost their baby by accidentally rolling over on them, so it's just not worth it, despite how my body craves it as well.

@Danielle I have the Halo Bassinest swivel sleeper

@Eva thanks for this. This is the goal for us as well, he just screams every time he goes in the bassinet. 😔

@Shay unfortunately not an option for us. My husband tosses and turns, and we have a friend who lost their baby by accidentally rolling over on them, so it's just not worth it, despite how my body craves it as well.
