I am 6 months pp and moved from Derry to Antrim a few years ago but I have no friends here. I am so lonely and really don’t do very much. I have signed up for one class but it isn’t until the end of September. I need some other things to try and meet other mums before I start back at work. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi, I also moved from Derry to Antrim in 2016. My son arrived in 2022 so I found the same as you, maternity leave is quite lonely. I took my son to baby massage class which was a 6 week block. I took my son to see my mum once a week too which broke up the week for me. I’m not sure what classes are on now but most churches/chapels will have a stay & play class a few mornings a week. I think there might be sing & sound classes at Antrim Library? Look up Nurture Hub on instagram, Fiona has loads of classes & is lovely. Sorry I’m a bit rusty since I am now back at work. Give me a PM if you want to chat x

If you drive, Emma from YogaBellies does mum and baby yoga in Ballyclare which is great!

I joined an Antrim mums coffee and meet up whatsapp group from a Facebook post i saw. I live in Greenisland so might be a bit far for me to drive as I’m only 9 days post partum. They seem really active and meet up in Antrim town - pm for details
