Formula

First time mum here! I have a 5 month old baby girl, she’s been on 150ml (just over 5 oz mam bottle) feeding 6-8 times a day since she was 2 months old…She’s still putting on weight and seems satisfied with this amount, she’s napping and sleeping well! Just wondering when she might want to increase and how much your babies on formula take. Thanks girls x

you can tell when they want to go up an ounce. the 5 just won’t be enough but i wouldn’t think about it rn. she’s content with 5 and sleeping well. now if you want you can add an extra ounce to one of the bottles and see if she drinks it all. if so then it might be time to move to 6 oz

Thank you Rayedean!🤍

My baby is 9months old and only just started drinking 5oz , at 5 months old she was on 4 oz. Becareful not to over feed her. You don’t need to add formula if she isn’t looking for more formula

@Marie ok this is really reassuring thank you! Been panicking that it’s not enough but she’s content after feeds, she’s not crying, or putting hands in mouth ect the signs she’s hungry she seems happy xx

Yess a key sign for me is when you take the bottle away they cry, both my babies did this

My 6w old takes 3oz (formula) or 3.5oz (breast milk), I tried 4oz of formula once and she ate it all but spit up afterwards.. as someone else Said, can always add an ounce to see if they take, but if she's content I wouldn't worry too much

My baby just turned two yesterday and takes 6 ounces
