@Hannah when can you start TTC after? I feel more nervous about going to hospital and being put to sleep not knowing what they will find! Did you have endo? X
It is scary being put to sleep but you’re out so quickly then suddenly it’s done and you’re awake again. I struggled after coming round from the anaesthetic I had the shakes my heart rate was high and couldn’t go to the toilet but it was very short lived , the pain was bad I ended up stupidly going to Chicago on a work trip like a week after surgery when I should have been resting at home, I’d give yourself a couple of weeks to recover x
When you get your cycle back/when you’re healed (they normally say no sex for 6 weeks). Yeah I have endo, I’ve had 4 surgeries so far and will be having another next year. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or just wanna talk about it xx
I used to go to support groups in London snd most people had an OK time like Hannah did. My mri indicated I would need s 45 min surgery but excision took 4 h and there was stage 3 endo. Surgeon said 4 week recovery. It was bad, I worked after 4 weeks but I shouldn't have I basically passed out on coming home and developed chronic fatigue syndrome. Surgeon didn't prescribe enough Painkillers on discharge. Make sure you get pain relief to go home with. Pack laxatives. Movicol is best! Good luck! I had sex 8 weeks later taking it slow was ok
2ish weeks, wasn’t too bad just keep up with regular painkillers x
