Movements

I’m currently 19 weeks with my first baby, and yet to feel proper movements. I felt a few ‘flutters’ around weeks 16/17 but haven’t felt anything since. I was told at my latest scan at 17.5 weeks I have a posterior placenta so should start feeling movement soon. Is this something I should be worried about/contacting my midwife about or is it normal with a first baby?

I was told at my midwife appointment that it can be later on till you feel any movements especially with it being a first pregnancy , she said to me if I haven’t felt anything before 24weeks then to get in touch xx

I'm 22 weeks today and literally feeling flutters but nothing major. We had our scan today and baby is absolutely fine. Everyone is completely different but if you're not feeling by 24 weeks let your midwife know x

I’m 22 weeks tomorrow and have hardly felt anything yet. A few bubble like feelings but nothing major. Saw the baby kicking and doing flips on the scan last week and the midwife said I should start to feel movements soon. It seems like it’s different for everyone

I’m 22 weeks with first and am now feeling constant movement! But I wasn’t 2 weeks ago, I was worried and confused if it was what I was feeling, it will come. Xx

Thank you for the reassurance lovelies, got my 20 week scan next week so hopefully that puts my mind at rest and I start feeling movement after that! ❤️

Apparently with girls you tend to feel movements a little later and with boys very early in pregnancy. Not how true this is.

@Mahdis I’m having a boy so this doesn’t really fit for me haha x

@Mahdis I'm having a boy and this is inaccurate for me. I'm almost 23 weeks and haven't felt much! X
