Autism or just normal development.

Hi all, I just want to start by saying, I’ve done some research and while all the things I’m about to list are completely normal signs of development, they could also be a sign of autism. Disclaimer; I would not love my child any less if she was autistic, but I am just concerned and I’d rather get some advice soon and if need be have her diagnosed. The signs I’ve seen in my 7.5 months old are: Constantly rocking in her rocking chair, whether she’s watching tv or just sitting there playing. Legs are always kicking and especially when she gets excited. Always jumping and bouncing, or trying to even when she’s not in her bouncer. Not flapping, but flexing her wrists when she’s excited. She has one particular toy with a flap on it and she will sit there for ages just flapping it back and forward. She flicks and scratches things. Responds to me calling her but not sure if that’s just her looking for my voice or if she recognises her name. Does not laugh very much. She does however make fantastic eye contact, smiles when I smile at her, giggles, babbles, screeches and fake coughs all day long. Anyone got any ideas or pointers? Does this just sound like normal development or should I seek advice from a professional x

Sounds normal to me

Sounds like normal developmental things for a 7 month old behaviour. It's very early to say at that age as all babies are developing differently but if you're very concerned seek advice from HV or GP.

Normal!

I would say normal - my LO does almost the same things on that list - if worried get it checked but I would say nothing to worry about.
