What do you think when you hear the name Jasper in the UK?

I'm not originally from the UK - I like the name Jasper but wondering if there are any connotations that I might ne unaware of. An example - I love name Audrey and was told here it is though of as an old lady name!

From the UK- I love the name jasper! I don’t think there’s any connotations I also love Audrey even if it’s an old lady name. I look after this little girl called Ada and Ada is seen as an old lady name x

Thanks Ellie - that is nice to know :) Yes I still love Audrey- adds to the cuteness!

More than welcome, as long as you like the name that’s all the matters xx

Jasper reminds me of the Crystal. Red jasper has an absolutely beautiful meaning! I think it’s a really lovely name! Also there’s nothing wrong with an old lady name! I’m only 21 and my name is Betty! Very old fashioned x

@Betty I love that connection to red jasper😍

The name I have chosen for my little boy has a crystal connection. It just makes it so much more meaningful in my opinion x

Jasper the friendly ghost..loved that movie as a kid! It’s a lovely name 🥰

@Emma that was Casper! Lol

@Betty hahaha I’m cracking up, that’s mum brain for you 😂😂😂😂

@Emma 😂😂 Still a connection in your mind!

Me singing jasper the friendly ghost in my head. I’m such a bellend 😂😂

From the UK and I think it’s a lovely name but it does just make me think of Jasper from Twilight 😂

I love the name Jasper. Jasper Carrott is a comedian from the 70s/80s. And Jasper Conran do nice dresses! Can't think of many other connotations.

My connotation would be it's quite a posh name, not necessarily a bad thing
