What do you wear post labour to go home?

It says loose clothing online, although I see lots of people wear leggings.. do leggings count? Are they meaning keep your PJ's on ? Is it a joggers and hoodie situation? Would a dress be best ? If you could tell me what you wore so I know my best and most practical options that would be fabulous hehešŸ™ƒā˜ŗļø

Whatever you want! I wore joggers both times, but honestly, whatever youā€™re comfy in

I wore leggings, tshirt, jumper and trainers!

I wore joggers, definitely didnā€™t feel comfortable putting leggings on!

Honestly wear what you were most comfortable in while on your period. For me I chose to wear my pregnancy leggings which werenā€™t too tight on my tummy but still were supportive enough to hold my giant pad/diaper in place. That and a sweater were perfect šŸ‘šŸ»

Just whatever youā€™re comfortable in, youā€™re going to feel like you have a golf ball between your legs and youā€™re going to be wearing a big pad so something you can wear big granny knickers with and feel comfy šŸ¤£ I wore joggers and a vest I think to come home in

I came home with a catheter (natural birth) which was unexpected. I could not have worn leggings or anything remotely tight. Iā€™d say baggy and comfortable x

It was winter. I had my doc martens, a black velvet christmasy maternity dress and my maternity leggings. I wanted to look nice encase I was in the baby leaving hospital photos. As long as itā€™s not something that digs into a potential c section wound and allows for swelling of the ankles, you are good.

Wear whatever youā€™re more comfortable in! Anything tight around the belly might be uncomfortable but itā€™s whatever you choose! I wore a T-shirt and leggings around the hospital the whole time, and wore some home too last time and will probably do the same this time šŸ„°

100% whatever you want. If you have a c-section, I suggest a dress so you donā€™t have to worry about pants rubbing on your incision (undies are easier to adjust). I wore a dress but my friends who had fall/winter kids wore sweats or something similar. Itā€™s all about comfort.

I wore loose trousers, a tshirt and jumper. Iā€™d put my maternity jeans on at first (!) but trousers were just comfier as my legs were swollen for a couple of days.

Leggings, joggers, tracksuit. Whatever you find comfortably and easy to move in. I've seen dresses and all sorts before x

I brought a shirt dress and I felt so sensitive afterwards I wore my pyjamas out lol x

I took leggings and a hoodie to come home in and some crocs, I had an emergency c section and I was so swollen, my leggings and crocs barely went on! I wish Iā€™d have taken some floaty trousers and flip flops or something x

I wore a long add jumper in the winter, with leggings. Next one Iā€™m due in summer so will probably wear wearing activewear shorts or a dress.
