We’ve started to get some small bits. We’ve got the moses basket too. I like to be organised and the thought of leaving it until later on stresses me out🤣
We started shopping as soon as we’d had our 12 week scan 🫣 only small bits for now such as sleep suits, body suits, bottles, little outfits etc. We’re moving soon so can’t really justify buying big things just to move them to our new house but probably will do when we’re in! I don’t think anytime is the right time to start, just whenever you’re ready
I bought most things 20 weeks+ with our first. Definitely don't leave it until the last minute for big purchases. If you're kitting out a nursery, things like our cot had a lead time of about 6 weeks as it kept going out of stock despite pre ordering and then the delivery kept getting pushed back. The bedroom furniture was the same, it took about a month to come. It didn't matter as he was in a next to me for the first three months but at the same time I wanted it all done and built before his arrival 😊
With both of my other boys I've waited till after my 20 week scan to start buying lots of bits but had picked up a couple neutral bits beforehand after the 12 week scan! And had been looking at prams and furniture so I had an idea what we wanted 😇
I think it’s such an exciting time & buy bits when you feel ready. With our first I wasn’t due until September & we had the nursery done by March/April 😂 I’m glad you’re starting to feel better in yourself.
I'm 15 weeks today and we're off to look at prams/cots etc. All the big things as my parents are buying the pram for us. I've already bought a couple of little bits like for the changing table eg sudo creme etc and the nuby rapid cool but if we get the pram it will stay at my parents until baby is here! I think start when you feel ready and get bit by bit ! X
