Hey there!

Hey ladies. I’ve been in the December group until now as I’m due December 5th but I’ve recently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and am now likely to be induced at 37-39 weeks so she may well now be a November baby,so thought I’d join this group too 🥰 hope you’re all having a fairly smooth pregnancy and feeling ok! I’m currently laid wide awake at 3.30am with killer heartburn 😂😩

Urgh the heartburn is awful isn't it. I'm on Metformin for my GD fasting levels and it's made my heartburn even worse🫠.

Gaviscon advance is part of my daily routine now 😆

welcome to November:) touch wood not had heartburn yet. x

@Rachel I had gaviscon with my 1st pregnancy omg made me feel sooooo sick :(

@Kirstie oh no. I couldn't cope without it at night. Hopefully you miss that bit out this pregnancy

@Rachel oh I hope so because God gaviscon made me feel 100 times worse. honestly would rather have had heartburn

@Kirstie if it does get bad the doctor can prescribe tablets for GERD which I took during my first pregnancy. Keep in mind incase needed

I find that tums are good I just have the one though and it works as don’t really like taking things!

Welcome in the November group 😊 I have found that sipping milk when I struggle with heartburn gives me instant and long enough relief to be able to fall asleep. 💚🤞

hiya, i have to have a glucose test this week for gestational diabetes, they say a lot of people get it whilst pregnant then it goes again after you’ve had the baby. how much was your little one weighing at 32 weeks my baby girl is weighing 4.13lbs and they said she’s had a massive growth spert hence why i’m being tested for diabetes? also if i do have it would this mean i would be induced early ?

also rennies for heartburn work a treat for me!!!

@Nell I’m 27 1/2 weeks and on metformin and insulin already 😩 the heartburn is a killer isn’t it. Mine seems to be the worst at night. Gaviscon is life 😂

@Sarah yes I don't really get heartburn too bad throughout the day. At night it makes many appearances! I'm on the Rennie tablets at the moment, because I had gaviscon with my first pregnancy and it was vile. Is the insulin and medication keeping it easily within range?

@Nell no I’ve only been on them since Friday but still having high readings after some meals. When I am in range it’s only just, but I’m back at the diabetes clinic this morning and I believe the meds are getting upped so that should help x

Hey, I have GD aswell. This is my second time. First time I was induced at 37 weeks and this time I will be having a section at 37 weeks so in only 5 weeks time 🫣 I’m on metformin and insulin. Honestly my heart burn has been awful this time round especially on a night like acid burning my throat so had a doctors appointment last week and was prescribed omeprazole and honestly it’s been a game changer! X

@Shanice oh thanks! I will definitely go back to the GP if it continues to get worse! They’ve said I might well be induced at 37 weeks too,depending on growth of my baby. My birthday is 13 days before my due date (I’d be 38+1) so I might get an early birthday present yet 🤣 (at least then I can have a glass of fizz as it’s also my 40th 🤣🤣🤣) x

@Sarah haha, silver linings 🤣🤣
