With my first I waited about 5 weeks

I think everyones situation is different. I tried after 4 weeks but my tearing was so bad it actually hurt. I had to wait until about 8 weeks once it was healed.

I’m so horny already at 3 weeks 😅 but physically I am NOT ready at all. It’s such a weird combination!

I did wait. But I feel ya girl! With my first my sex drive spiked after she was born. It's just to prevent infection where the uterus is healing. Good luck with whatever you decide. With my second I was playing soccer the second night after I got out of the hospital with my first.

I think we waited 8 weeks. The risk of infection wasn't worth it to me 😅

We tried at six weeks. But penetration just hurt. Did some pelvic floor physical therapy, played with some toys, waited another couple of weeks, and used lots of lube. Every woman heals in their own time.

Only waited 4 weeks 🫣 I had a c section.

I’ll probably get tons of hate for this but I waited about 3 weeks used a lot of lube and it went smoothly. It’s definitely a bit uncomfy at first but my ob said a lot of people don’t wait the 6 weeks she said to just follow your body and definitely not while you’re still bleeding or sore.

I waited the 6w because I didn't want an infection or to have another baby so soon lol 🤣

For me it kept hurting for almost 12 weeks! But I had an episiotomy. If you feel ready go for it, as long as everything is healed so it doesn't infect x

I’m nowhere near this point but I did have the realisation the other day that 6 weeks sounds like an awfully long time 😂

Just in case you’re not aware - the six week wait doesn’t really have anything to do with your vagina. It’s to do with the wound left in your uterus by your placenta. There’s a risk you will introduce an infection to a site with an open wound. It’s a really good idea to wait!

Waited 8 and that felt okay, didn’t hurt or anything. It’s the internal healing you can’t see or judge that’s the issue xx

Also, wear protection if you do. You are crazy fertile after birth!

I think it was almost 9 weeks we waited but I had an insane amount of stitches and even sitting on the toilet hurt let alone thinking about having anything inserted down there!! 🤣

Ima be honest we did it the same day I had the baby. My hormones were like a dog who hast eaten in a year it was like seeing my hubby and smelling him or him touching me just made me want him even more & yes I just turned 6 weeks postpartum

It's up to you, but my understanding is that the 6 week guideline is for the internal wound left by your placenta to heal, not whatever may or may not have torn during delivery. I'd stick to hands and mouth stuff for now 😆

I waited 8 weeks, I was terrified! But my husband was also away on military training and I didn’t see him again until the 8 week mark. Sooo I really can’t say what would’ve happened lol

i went 4 weeks, coming from someone who had an episiotomy. Looking back i do think how did i have the balls to because i was terrified lol but i obviously expressed my feelings to him and we took it slow (for the first 5 mins😅) it was absolutely fine, no issues with anything, no pain, no discomfort felt better than before tbh
