Colostrum at 24 weeks
I’m 24 weeks FTM btw and I’m starting to produce colostrum and collected 1/2 ml 😂(I’m excited) as I do plan on breastfeeding. But is it too early to start collecting I’ve been having a healthy pregnancy so far and my boobs feel large and sore do I express the colostrum or just wait it out until baby is born ? any advice
That’s awesome! And normal! You can hand express if you want! There’s also tiny syringes you can buy off amazon for collecting colostrum. This is great for the first few days/week+ when your milk isn’t in yet and you both are still figuring out how to nurse. A great way to supplement with out formula. Just freeze full syringes in a bag!
