We go through the house and I explain how different things work. "This is the shoe rack, it hangs on the door. These are Mom's plants, plants grow by..., this is the cork board, cork is made..."
Mine is like this too, I just keep lots of things in rotation so he doesn’t get bored. We do tummy time and then the play mat, sometimes I’ll put him on his side, or we’ll walk around and look at stuff, read books, sing and dance, sit in bouncer or swing or in crib watching the mobile spin. And sometimes when he doesn’t want to do anything I just baby wear him
We have a bouncer and added a toy attachment to it and that keeps our LO entertained for awhile. I do a lot of "house tours" also. Walking around pointing and narrating things.
House tour is a great idea from others who commented! I talk to my baby in cooing/babbling sounds. We can have a long conversations most of the time and she likes talking with people. We also take walks and she loves looking at trees, flowers, houses. I’d point stuff and let her look at certain things close up. We also take walks in the back yard and count birds, planes, look at the progress of plants and flowers, go through each plant, what they are, what fruit they bear. When I do chores I put her in the bouncer and continue our “conversation” ☺️
I put on the mama Mia soundtrack one day and we had a karaoke session 😂 it worked for about 15 minutes!
We go on lotsss of walks
