Inconsiderate people…

Idk if I’m being overly sensitive or what but I recently had a baby 3 weeks ago and I’ve had plenty of my friends and family wanting me to leave my home drive with my baby 30 minutes to come visit them at their home!?? Like what sense does that make??? I am still recovering and I’m a ftm who is single at home alone. Why would I want to leave my house to go visit people???? Like I don’t mind visitors but what I’m not going to do is take my baby outside right now.. I only take my baby out once a week to go visit my grandfather.. that is the ONLY person I will leave the house for.

They should come and see you as your still recovering yourself plus it's harder to go out with a newborn. I never had that problem tho and the only person I had to go out to see was my grandad as he was unable to come to my home. I just say you can't do it as your still recovering and that they are more then welcome to come and visit the baby and stand your ground you know what is best for you and your baby.

My step mom was upset I wouldn’t drive 2 hours to their house to visit with the baby because she wanted to meet her…. But kept refusing to go with my dad to my baby shower, family events where I would be with the baby, and even when my dad would visit me to come see the baby she would have him drop her off at her son’s house on the way down….. some people just want to be catered to. You focus on your health and your baby’s health. I’m sorry that’s being asked of you you deserve to be visited not asked to go around parading your baby

Exactly you shouldn't be expected to around parading your baby around just focus on yourself and the baby that's what is more important at the moment

Don't be pressured to go out visiting before you're ready. Let them make the effort

Definitely let them make the effort. You've got enough to do looking after you and your little one. Just let them know that they're more than welcome to visit but you are not up for travelling at the moment. If they don't understand that then that's fine, they just don't get to see you both. Concentrate on you and your baby x

Yeah that's inconsiderate of them, although I did welcome the opportunity to get out of the house for a fee hours with my baby

you’re not being sensitive at all !!! People should be offering to bring you things and help out. Also the baby shouldn’t be around to many people and either should you
