Visiting hours at Sheffield?

I'm being induced in 2 weeks at Jessops. Does anyone know if the normal visiting hours apply for Jessops when you're being induced or if your birth partner can stay with you from start to finish? Also what are the visiting hours at Jessops please? I've just been transferred there so not a clue.

The normal visiting hours are 8-8, if you’re induced they may send you home but I’m not sure if the normal visiting hours apply if you have to stay!

2 years ago my daughter was induced there and it was 8 while 8 for partners if I remember rightly. Her induction worked that very day so by the time the evening came she was in active labour. If you get your own side room they may allow him to stay but induction can be a very long process. I think for other visitors it’s from 10 am but things could have changed x

8am-8pm unless you get a side room on the ward, if you get a side room your partner can come and go as he pleases!

I gave birth at Jessop in July, I was induced and was on the ward for a week while being induced. You have to stay while you are having the pessary but if you need another one they have to wait 12hrs so you should be able to go home (I did), and if you have the balloon you should be able to go home (I didn’t but one of the midwives came and told me I would’ve been able to). Once you have got to a point where they can break your waters you’ll be sent home to wait for a bed on the labour ward (for me this was the next morning) and when on the labour ward your partner can stay all the time, but while on the normal ward they will only be allowed 8-8, even after giving birth xxx

Thank you everyone. Just been transferred from Barnsley to Sheffield for the induction process so wasn't sure on how they do things😊

@Lucy how things have changed. My daughter’s waters got broke while trying to fit the ballon. She could have gone home but had to be back within 24hours because of risk of infection but because I don’t drive and her age she stayed in. Lucky for us she did as labour came fast cone 7pm..xx
