Babysitter security

Hi guys I I got a new babysitter who is looking after my daughter 7 years old. I am leaving my daughter for first time with babysitter in home please can you recommend me what safety precautions I can do to make sure she is safe in the home with her?

Hiya! Having been on the flip side of this, I found most parents want DBS certified babysitters. Now I know this might not be the most practical answer since DBS checks are like £70 I think and take a couple months to come through

@Rowena babysitter does have DBs checked already. I got her from childminder website
