Our little one hasn't said a word aside from mama and Dada, has anyone else experienced this? We talk and read to her alot.

Yes my little boy is the same, he is my first so I am new to it all. I read to him every time he goes down for a sleep or a nap, I also point to things and repeat the names. He starts to say something and then doesn’t finish the word, I am not too alarmed because I think all babies/toddlers will talk in their own time when they are ready. He is very intelligent, it’s just not his time yet is what I have gathered from my experience. You are definitely not alone in this, you’re doing everything right and it will happen eventually.

I wouldn’t stress to much as every bub is different My oldest son didn’t talk until 3years old as they get alittle older I’d recommend getting their ears checked as my son had a lot of ear issues I wasn’t aware of which affected his speak

Mine only babbles doesn't say mama but will go " ma " if I try get him to . And for about a week would babble dadada but then changed his mind on that . I'm not too worried about it. He seems to be more focused on everything else and he understands what we are saying if we tell him no , time for a bath , point to the dog ect he is my first and i figure he is just learning one thing at a time 😅

At this age you should see them understanding more and more. In terms of talking a few word approximations sounds right on track! By the time they’re approaching 2 is when more words usually start to appear. And like everything it’s a rough guideline and they work it out on their own time.
