Hospital bag

I’m currently packing my hospital bag 4w+2 to go, might sound like a silly question how do you pack dummies so they stay sterilised in advance as from my understanding things only stay sterilised for max 48 hours?

Your hospital will likely have sterilising equipment, you can check with your midwife x

i sterilised mine & the plastic containers and have kept them in there x

The dummies I brought can be sterilised in the plastic contauner in the microwave at the hospital. They only stay sterile for 48hours even in the case.. so better of doing it when baby arrives x

I’ve got a steriliser little spray which is like Milton so you don’t need to wash it off

@Niki can you show us a picture?

@Niki yes please and where we can purchase them from x

Yeah they'd need to be sterilised again before use anyway. You can get steriliser bags for the microwave, and sterilising Milton wipes, and Milton do a small on the go dummy steriliser too!

My first baby never took a dummy for over a week, you don’t have to introduce it immediately especially if you’re wanting to EBF

I haven’t bought a dummy… what is the purpose of them? Do we need one?

@Hannah some babies like them, others don't. Its personal choice.

@Laura Isi got it off Amazon for under £2.50, Milton costs more

you can buy milton wipes

@Niki worth noting that this is a sanitiser not a steriliser spray, they're slightly different. So the dummy will not be sterile if you use this.
