Wet chub rub

I'm really struggling, and I feel so disgusting, I'm a size 22-24 and under my belly and in the creases by my upper thigh and sides of my vag*na I have really bad skin, it smells awful, it's wet and red, I have tried so many things to stop it, I feel like such an unclean human being and so fat. How do I truly get rid of it? If anyone has any advice, I'd be truly grateful because I don't know what else I can do

When I had my C-section, where I have an over hang belly it was constantly taking forever to heal and was red. After a shower I would ensure it’s dry and I have some liquid talc that I would put there and it worked wonders! No issues since!

hibiclens (which is a pre surgery antibacterial wash), and glycolic acid toner has helped. I shower as normal, then use the hibiclens, air dry then spray the toner, and let all the areas dry.

Talc. My partner struggles with this, and since he's been talc' his gentleman parts it has stopped for him. For myself, I just shower every day and wear underwear that stops the rubbing and shorts as well. After my section, I used a pad stuck to my underwear to cover where the wound was, which drew moister out and kept it clean and dry. You've got this. X

For my last three csections I always put a thick sanitary pad under my belly. Using a wet flannel to clean those area and then going over it with a dry flannel a couple times a day. That really helps me

Don't beat yourself up. You aren't unclean! Chub rub shorts are amazing for wearing a dress. I wore them pre, during and post pregnancy. Asda do maternity cycle shorts in plus size at a decent price. Chub rub shorts from snag tights are also great. They can help prevent further rubbing and also prevent it from happening again in the future once all healed. If not into wearing dresses then try and avoid tight clothing in those areas and wear breathable fabrics like cotton. If you can, try and air those areas out too. Remove cothing, open the areas up to the air and let them dry for at least 10 minutes every day.

Thank you everyone for your advice x
