Vitamins

Due to hyperemesis I wasn't able to take any pre natal vitamins in my first trimester (none at all as I would throw them up right away). I'm 16+6 now and I've started taking vitamin D gummies but nothing else (I know, not good) but I'm not sure on which vitamins I should be taking in this time of pregnancy!

I haven’t taken any for the same reason🤷🏼‍♀️ not really sure what to take at this point either 🙈

I think Vitamin D is the most recommended after 12 weeks. I’m just taking the standard pregnacare which has everything you need

Sorry to hear you’ve been so unwell. After the first trimester the only vitamin strongly recommended is Vitamin D. You could consider a multi pregnancy vitamin though some of these can be hard to stomach. Another one recommended is Omega 3 - rare to get enough via diet and has strong links to baby brain development. Anything specific is down to the individual. Iron can drop in pregnancy but they should monitor this via blood tests.

I’ve only been taking the vitamins provided byNHS that has folic acid, vitamin D and C

I’m taking the bassets chewable pregnancy vitamins! I can’t swallow pills because my gag reflex has gone WILD in pregnancy and they do the trick they even have a small amount of iron in them which I lot of them don’t. If you’re struggling with pills there’s loads of chewable vitamins on the market and they just feel like sweets

Food grown pregnancy multivitamins by wild nutrition are the best, your body digests them and there’s no harsh chemicals or preservatives in them
