When I delivered last October we had to put him in the car seat and be walked out to the car by a staff member.
I was wheeled out holding the baby. Our car seat was already installed in the car so they basically just saw that it was in there, we put the baby in, and off we went. I don't recall there being an actual "inspection" beyond that.
Following for the answer, I’ll be at Rose too! I’m planning on just holding baby while I wheelchair or walk out, assuming they allow that. I’ve only heard about the rule that your car seat must be in place so I’m pretty sure that’ll be fine. They have a Facebook live event on Tuesday at 6:00pm next week, I can ask if we don’t know for sure by then 🙂
Honestly I don’t remember there being a certain “policy”, we did have our son is his carrier but that was our plan the entire time!!
@Brandy yes please do and lmk!!
Not sure on walking out since I walked out holding my baby carrier with my son in it since my husband didn’t. But I know that they wouldn’t let us leave until we had our car seat installed and inspected by the hospital. It just all really spends on the circumstances of the birth and time of day. But I’m sure if they know you don’t have one to carry the baby out but have one in the car you’ll be good but I would call rose babies or even ask your OB I’m sure they can get you information on it. I tried looking online and I couldn’t find any information
