My son is also 4 months old and he’s been in daycare for a month now. I think the earliest they can start, the better. Even tho my baby also had a routine, he thrives there. He is building a new routine and I can take advantage of that too. For naps, babies aaaaalways take some time to get used to the environment. My baby is still struggling some for the morning nap but he figures out how to compensate with afternoon nap. I work with kids and I see it, they figure things out once they know the environment and people. I hope you feel better soon with all this situation!!
Routines aren’t built overnight! I’ve found it really helpful to try to match the daycare’s routine on weekends/when I’m not working so there’s consistency. I can’t control what they do but I can control how we spend our days at home and provide consistency
We’re on week 2 of daycare for my 4 month old and it was really hard for me but I was happy they did transition days where instead of the whole day starting out they did half. My daughter was born needing special care because of her cleft lip and palate so it was important to me that the daycare knew that she needed fortified bottles and to be fed a certain way. The teachers that care for the babies are fantastic and have done what baby needs and they always are happy to ask the questions they may not know about for my baby’s care. Know that it is okay to call them frequently to check on your baby and to advocate for your baby🩷 you’re doing great and you will get through it.
I don't have any help but I hope you figure it out but this is why I've decided to stay with my little until 1 year :) I feel if u were to wait a couple more months your baby may be better at daycare its up to u tho 🫶🏻
