I feel the same. Am 35W+5 and suddenly feel extremely sad and down. Think is due to being in a lot of pain and lack of sleep x
I started feeling like this last week too
Tried to tell someone how I was feeling and she said it’s a privilege and when I said I struggled to see it that way right now, but know it’s because I’m shattered, she said you would if you couldn’t have kids I know she can’t have kids and wasn’t trying to make her feel bad…so now I’ve added guilty to the list of things I’m feeling
You really aren’t alone. I’m 37 + 3 and have moments of feeling like this. I think you just need to try and remember that this is not going to go on forever, the end is in sight now. Pregnancy is hard. I naively didn’t realise how challenging it was actually going to be, especially towards the end! I don’t know your situation but if you can try and nap in the day or just take it as easy as you can as much as you can. It might also be worth speaking to your midwife about how you’re feeling as there is support available should you decide you would like it. And maybe it’s worth speaking to your husband about your concerns for him as well. Communication is always the best way, and then hopefully you can both support each other. x
Thank you all for the support and making me feel less alone. Had a good chat with my husband last night, went for a walk and did some stretches before bed and was finally able to get a decent sleep. Everything seems brighter today. Remembering that saying “this too shall pass” and grateful for a network like this to support us in our harder times 💕
You’re not alone, I feel completely the same. I’m 36 weeks and feel like I’ve hit a wall. The aches and pains and lack of sleep have really grinded me down.
