I think that’s right. Although I was planning on getting one but read online that the Disney characters don’t use the original songs, but cover versions instead which put me off.
Just to throw in a vote for Yoto, the other player for kids which uses credit card type things that slot into a hole. We got the mini which is super transportable and my son can swap over cards as much as he likes. There also the Yoto podcast and radio. One of the best things we’ve bought. Our worry with the tonies was the size and then carrying all the different figurines about. Whereas with the cards we can literally put loads of them in a standard wallet.
We've got her a Yoto (similar to the Tonie box) when she was 3 months old and she loves it. She also loves changing the cards by herself and recognises her favourites. We have a lot of custom (make your own) cards, they're great since we can put any content on it (music, different languages, etc).
My son and my step daughter both love his tonie box. My step daughter is 9
Some Disney do (our Winnie the Pooh, jungle book use original songs/voices) however the Disney princess ones I have don’t, so I suppose it just depends x
They’re so good! We got ours last Christmas for LO and her brother to share. He’s 6 and not so interested but she loves it. Great variety of characters and songs/stories available, and they’re very sturdy (the box has taken a few trips down the stairs etc). They have creative ones too where you can record stuff and put whatever you want on them - some people record themselves reading a story. Definitely get them in a bundle and look out for when they do offers (4 for 3) to make it cheaper. My girl loves putting the characters on and dancing to the music. Easy for her to turn it off herself.
I bought one to replace the tellt in my kods room but It's very expensive for what it is. My kids are 5, 3 and 1, I think they're too young to use it properly so I use audio books in a CD player at bedtime instead
We absolutely love our tonie, best present I’ve bought the kids so far, it’s really simple to use, takes about 20 minutes to set up and then once that’s done all you do it put it on top and it plays, my eldest is 6 and my youngest is 1, both use it but my eldest uses it mostly, there’s tonies for all ages x
