Fitness during pregnancy 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏊‍♀️

Hi everyone!! Is anyone else trying to keep their fitness up and how are you finding it? I was running half marathons and working out a lot before pregnancy and I’m trying to keep it up as much as I can but doing much shorter runs and more Pilates/yoga or swimming🏃‍♀️I’m only 6 weeks but already finding it a lot tougher is anyone else the same or have any tips? Also any good sports bras to help with the sore boobs during exercise 👙

6 weeks here as well. I was working out 5 times a week (3 strength sessions and 2 barre classes), now it’s 4 - 2 strength and 2 barre. Not only it is much tougher, the DOMs are just something else…. 💀💀💀 But I’m determined to continue.

Ah the DOMS are next level 😂 I really wanted an active pregnancy but I think it’s going to be a lot harder than I expected 😂

Have you tried spin classes? I was able to continue with my normal spin class up until I was about 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby.

@Amy I haven’t done spin in ages! Might have to try it out thanks!

Hey - I found working out so much more difficult- like my energy is missing ... also, what are DOMs? Much appreciated to be part of the community

@Theodora it means delayed o set muscle soreness pretty much just how sore your muscles are the few days after a workout 😊

@Paige thanks 🙏 yes ... muscles have been aching crazy lately... like anything I do in the gym is max out. Although I have decreased the intensity because of lack of energy 🥰

Yeah I’m finding it much harder, taking more breaks between sets and more breathless. Also my PT said no bracing or breath holding. And not doing weight reps to failure.

I swam right up until 4 days after my due date with my last 😂 loved being in the water when I had a big bump it was like getting my body back. Can’t wait to do that again.

First time mum-to-be, so I have been worried to hit the gym. This chat is reassuring ☺️
