When does it get better?

I’m 2 weeks PP today and I’m still in a lot of pain down there. I had a 3rd degree tear and everything from laying down to sitting down and standing up hurts. I have to take pain killers every 6hrs to ease some of the pain. My OB checked my stitches last week and said everything looks fine so far and nothing is infected. I tried sitz baths but the pressure and heaviness is so uncomfortable I barely sit on it for 2min. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I thought I’d feel a bit better by now. Please let me know your experience 🙏🏼

I started feeling better after about a week! But then my stitches came apart and I went back to square 1 with the pain! I think every person is different with healing time but if you’re concerned you can always ask the GP to check your stitches or ask them to check at your little ones 6-8 week check! xx

I found by the end of the second week and into the third I started to feel better. I found that cool/ice packs helped as they reduced swelling. I also sat either on my feeding pillow when I wasn’t using it or a neck pillow to relieve pressure in the stitches which helped a lot. It was worse when I felt better so started walking further and did too much before my body was ready.

I was about 4 weeks with internal stitches, I started doing too much aswell when I felt better and damaged myself again - it does get easier xx
