I would say he will tell you if he’s hungry, he wouldn’t sleep if he was. You could try and increase it in the rest of the bottles but don’t worry if he doesn’t take it.
He’s 10 weeks, weighing 12lb 14oz
My LO sleeps between 7-9hrs before waking for a feed and she’s only taking 4oz bottles (except the one before bed which is 5) and a lot of them she doesn’t finish. As long as he’s gaining weight and having regular wet nappies, I wouldn’t up the feed unless he’s showing signs he needs more (eg crying when empty because he’s not finished or finishing one feed and needing another a lot earlier than usual) 🙂
When did he start doing this (asking for a mate.. me… I’m the mate and I’m exhausted lol)
@Geri my 7 week old just slept almost 6 hours, had a quick feed at around 5 and has been asleep again for almost 3 hours 🙈 I’m now questioning everything I did last night that I haven’t done before etc 😂
You could try him on a bigger bottle before bed or first thing...my little one feeds between 4 and 6oz every 3-4 hours during the day and then sometimes only takes a smaller amount before bed but will then take a bigger over overnight or first thing. He sleeps from 8pm-4am and then again until 7:30-8am
My little boy only has 5 6oz bottles a day he sleep all night 7-6 if they was hungry they wake up he be fine x
Depends what his weight is and how much he should be having
