Endo after ectopic?

Hi all,
I’ve had an ectopic with a left salpingectomy in March. Since then, I’ve been suffering from a fair bit of pain. It started with twinges and pulling on the affected ovary and slowly progressed onto the other side, then uterus to eventually the entire undercarriage. Paracetamol doesn’t touch it. I have about a week’s respite after period but it starts up with ovulation and carries through till the end of the period. I’ve had an appointment today with a totally different department but when I mentioned this, the endocrinologist there said it sounds like endometriosis. I’ve done a bit of reading and it looks like ectopics may be able to trigger this. Has anyone had similar experiences?

Sorry you have gone through this. I suffered a hetroectopic last January and when they opened me up they found endo. Since then I have awful pain, the last few months being worse I had a scan last week so said tubes and ovary’s are all fine but sadly can’t see endo in an ultra sound scan. Push and push for investigations push until someone listens x x

Thank you for messaging. I’m so sorry to hear about your ectopic and what you’ve been through. I’m being referred to gynaecology through my gp now. Not sure how long it will take. I may be able to get an mri through my work health insurance before then. Hopefully will get some answers..

we have about 18 month/2year wait for gynae in Somerset so hopefully you can be seen a lot quicker with tour insurance. I feel for you as it’s not nice and just constant pain 😔 x

Whoa, 18 months?! That’s madness! Yeah I do hope it will be quicker than that..

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
