id phone back in & say you’re not reassured xx

My hospital didn't let me go until I felt movement. Was in there nearly 2hrs. I would call back and see you still haven't felt anything and would like a scan. They can do that on triage. They did with me at 26wks

There’s no way they should have sent you home if baby hadn’t moved in the time you spent hooked up to the monitor. Please call back and tell them you’re coming back in to be monitored again until baby does move

Did you see any movement on the monitor? I had this with my 2nd, I had an anterior placenta and baby was facing backwards, so he was very much moving but kicking out towards my inside, I couldn't feel a thing but could see his movements on the chart x

When I've been there they have said that even if it's only an hour since I've left if I feel something isn't right go back. All has been fine both times. First time we went her activity didn't pick up but she could be felt move, but was there for spotting not reduced movement. The second 2 times she had been less active we walked in the door and she kicked off. Had a scan within 48hrs for the 2nd 2 times (1st was a Saturday so had to go for more monitoring on the Sunday and scan on Monday) both times she was fine all checks were good and she was back to normal movement. If you are concerned go back

@Natalie tbh I had no idea what I was looking at or for. I don't feel like this midwife looking after me gave any good kind of information. I do have anterior placenta so I wonder if that's what my baby was also doing 🤔, I am on my way back the hospital now, for scan

Hope everything's okay ❤️ they like to worry us x

good luck i hope everything is okay! x

I just posted this on another persons message, so il repost it here as it really helped me when the midwife explained why we get reduced movements in the third trimester… I had to go in last week, and the midwives said that they see a huge amount of women around 33 weeks onwards as this is when the baby usually gets into the engaged position, even though they can move in and out of this, and is spine facing forward, so they are actually kicking you in the back/your organs (lovely 😂) so we don’t feel it as much! When they are back to back, they are usually kicking your stomach, so even though it’s soooo worrying for us, it’s actually a good thing as they are starting to get into the right position!

Had a scan baby was extremely active and moving about, again I couldn't feel a single thing, baby is facing forwards so I should be feeling the movements, they put me back on to be monitored I felt him kick once, they have arranged for me to have multiple appointments over the next 2 weeks just to keep an eye on everything but have told me obviously if I need to be seen again then to go straight back, although my nerves are still gone as to why I can't feel movements just seeing my baby moving about as much as he was on the scan really did help ease my nerves a little. They said when these things happen it's just a mystery to them and to always go with Ur gut instincts xx
