MAT PAY

Hey, so maternity pay is obviously worked out weekly, how is this payed by your employer if you get paid monthly? My boss has sent me weekly amounts I’d get for the first 6 weeks then after, but will I get paid monthly as normal? Does he work out what it works out over the month? I really can’t remember how it worked with my first 8 years ago!

If you're usually paid monthly, you'll get it paid monthly as normal.

i get paid every two weeks and my employer just worked it out that way so i’m sure yours will just work it out and you’ll get paid monthly still x

I just received mine monthly at the same time as I would have received my wages.

I got mine monthly. Most months I got 4 weeks pay and then the odd month I'd get 5 weeks pay. X

You get paid monthly as usual. Remember some weeks have 4 months and others have 5 so it might vary a bit.

You’ll get it monthly x

Mine is staying as I get the actual payment monthly but it will be a bit different each month depending how many weeks are in that month.

So your employee with pay you for the 6 weeks of mat pay but this will be paid monthly , so then the second pay you get will have two weeks.l pay from your company (usually 90 % of your wage ) and then two weeks statutory mat leave pay . Statutory is divided weekly so some money with 5 weeks in your get 5 weeks pay others 4 xx

Mine showed me a weekly and monthly breakdown. You'll be paid monthly as normal

If u get paid monthly then u will receive SMP monthly (I do).

Mine always got paid monthly on the same pay date as when I was working

Thanks ladies I wasn’t sure! I work 20 hours atm, but my pay normally works out 4.5 weeks, so wasn’t sure if that’s what I’d get via mat pay and when!
