Potty trained - dry nappy overnight but wets the bed when no nappies 😩

Our nearly 4 year old is potty trained and we have no problems during the day using the potty or toilet. Around 6 months after being potty trained and her nappy being dry most mornings we decided to ditch the bedtime nappies. Her bed is dry around 50% of the time and we put her straight on the potty in the morning and give her lots of praise. The other 50% she’s wet 😢 I can’t be certain but I’m fairly sure she’s having a wee first thing in the morning when she’s just woken up. Either too sleepy or can’t be bothered to get to the potty? Usually not just a trickle but empties her bladder in the bed. She doesn’t seem to mind and is in no rush to get out of her wet bed. We let her know we’re sad when she has a wet bed but I’m reluctant to discipline as we can’t be sure if it’s done consciously or not. Question is do we persevere or do we go back to nappies as maybe she’s not ready yet? I’m reluctant to go backwards but equally struggling to keep up with the constant washing!Any advice or tips?

☺💗 Hi. Since bladder control isn't something we can train nor "teach" a sleeping child to hold in their pee while they're sleeping, this part kind'a just gradually progressively happens on its own over time. Its more biological at this stage. Here's a quick video for you that explains the stages & steps of night time potty training and when you can expect to transition from bed time diapers/nappies to pull-ups to wearing underwear for bed time. https://youtu.be/fSrqvG3BMXo As a child grows, their bladder capacity will increase and their body will start to produce ADH (Anti-diuretic Hormone) which helps prevent them from peeing while they sleep. (isnt that amazing?)
