vitamin d drops??

can someone tell me if i'm being daft.. i'm EBF and trying to give my baby vitamin d drops (the wellbaby ones) - it says give 0.5ml per day via the dropper, by putting it drop by drop on the nipple and letting baby suckle - but 0.5ml seems like alot to stick on there, and its so oily and just runs down and makes it all slippery for her?! so i've been just putting one drop on per feed and giving it gradually throughout the day in divided doses.. is that what you're supposed to do??

Following because I’m equally baffled by them 😂

I had to toss that one and get a different brand that I do just one drop on the nipple per day with!

thanks @Allie this is a good shout

I’ve got one that is a small syringe and have to give 0.3ml a day. But she hates it so have to shove her on the boob really quickly afterwards!!

@Allie do you know what dose you’re supposed to give a baby, of those Amazon ones?!

@Jess just one drop a day which is why I chose them ❤️

I put the drops on my finger and give them to her that way xx

@Dreia ah i know, the health visitor told me its recommended from birth for breastfed babies whether you're taking a supplement or not and its nhs guidance too https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/weaning-and-feeding/vitamins-for-children/ - but its only a recommendation so each to their own 😊

I use 5 drops that I put in the teat of the bottle and add some breast milk

We bought one that is literally just one drop. I couldn't work out how to give her 0.5ml as that seemed so much
