@Tiffany that's good to know! I'm eating pretty much my normal diet, last night I had half a pizza, this morning I had chocolate shreddies, lunch could be beans on toast. So I'm definitely eating plenty of carbs, dietician reckons too many 😂😅 with pelvic girdle pain I'm not as active as I like so I don't do too much after I eat as it's painful. I use to be extremely active but I'm pretty much a couch potato now x
I get that I had spd (pretty much the same just different name) in my last two pregnancies. And I’m jealous right now that you’re eating that and aren’t having high readings!! I had plain shreddies this morning and had 9.2!! Seeing your diet it sounds like your body is doing well enough on its own maybe working too good to process the glucose. It’s just your fasting readings that are border! I’d be loving your readings!! I’m on metformin and waiting for a call back to start insulin I’m 11 weeks. My fasting readings are 5.7- 6. I’d just stick with what your doing at the moment have any of your readings gone above 5.3?
I had toast at dinner today also and had 8.8 after a walk!!
I was told if not on insulin and sugars are low, just have something to eat. It’s only when you’re below 4 on insulin you need intervention or something sugary. What are you doing after breakfast? What are you eating? Are you getting enough carbs in to bring your sugar up to begin with x
