HELP!!?

My son had his two month appointment today and it seems that he’s behind in terms of his neck muscle development I feel horrible because due to exhaustion I know I haven’t done as much tummy time as I’d like to. Is there anyone here who had this happen to their child? We’re they able to get back to where they needed to be?

Mine has torticollis so it's been a struggle but he's on track now at six months. I suggest looking up creative ways to get that tummy time in! Even if it's on you or the "airplane".

Please do not beat yourself up over that. You are doing the best you can. Be gentle with yourself. Every child reaches their milestones at different times and every milestone looks different for every child. Remember that your baby boy is unique. Just make sure he’s well loved and that you speak ti your child constantly. They absorb more than you think. You’re doing a great job, mama. You got this!

It is a okay, your child will get there but tummy time also includes laying on your chest on their stomach. I had to do that for the most part because my son hated tummy time but don't stress too much it can still affect the baby

@Erin my son, now 7, had this too. I was referred to a physical therapist (which he enjoyed) and after a few months or so he graduated!!!

Tummy time on your legs or chest is good too. So even if you hold your baby it can be good

Just remember that our parents/ grandparents were never told about tummy time and we’re all fine. As long as you’re helping build his strength now that’s all that matters. He will get there in his own time❤️
