Extreme sharp pain

I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant and today I’ve had extreme sharp, dull stretching feeling pains, knowing where my baby is roughly sat from a previous private scan it’s right where the baby is. It’s been on and off all day lasting around 15 minutes, every hour or so. Until now, it’s getting worse and more constant. I’ve repeatedly suffered miscarriages in the past so it doesn’t feel anywhere near a loss. But I’m so concerned.. my left side of my stomach has been feeling really tender and almost hardening up but my right side still feels soft but my whole lower belly is extremely sore today. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal and just growing pains?

I don’t think growing pains should be so severe. Can you speak to your midwife?

Has the pregnancy made you constipated at all?

@Rachel very bad yes but this today feels more to the front and only to the left where the baby is positioned

@Gaby I’m currently on my way home from work down south back up north so I can’t contact my midwife until I’ve got my pregnancy pack. I was just hoping for a little help so I don’t assume the worst until I’m home

If it helps, I’ve been really badly constipated and 11 weeks currently. The pain last night was unreal, sharp and stabbing and felt exactly where my womb is. I’ve had loads of prune juice and been able to go to the loo, and now the pain has stopped. Worth getting checked out though! X

@Jordan well, don’t panic by any means. It could be stretching. It could be trapped wind. It could be any number of delightful pregnancy things. If you can Google the number for your local EPU I’d give them a ring while you’re travelling home as they might be able to better put your mind at rest xx

Currently 13 weeks and I’ve had this since around 8-9 weeks and got worse around 10ish weeks but as long as no 🩸 everything is fine and it’s completely normal as your body is stretching especially if this is your first pregnancy but it’s completely normal xxx

@Jessica definitely no blood if anything I’ve just had extra discharge which I know is completely normal. It can be quite worrying as unfortunately this will be my 4th pregnancy but this is the longest I’ve carried so it’s almost as if it’s my first so I’m completely worried all the time xxx

@Jordan no blood is good sign xx and yup I’ve got loads of discharge atm like loads! I completely understand as to why ur very worried but try enjoy it as much as u can, pregnancy is a magical thing and we need to enjoy it, I know it can be daunting and worrying but I guarantee everything is okay ❤️ xx

I’ve had pains like these, particularly when bending down. They seem to be where my scar tissue is from my prev c section so I think it’s linked to that for me!
