Personally it feels like bubbles of tummy gas to me. No pattern yet but don't worry if you don't feel anything til week 24 everyone's different
It depends on where your placenta is as well. I found out mines at the front which is why I’m not feeling him as much. The occasional bubbles for me!
@Sam that's where mine is, low lying and at the front. I have no reference points though as it's my first. Doesn't feel like anything out of the ordinary to me. Just waiting for it to get stronger and more into a pattern as the weeks go on x
@Jenny same here! I had my scan on Monday he was moving around like crazy apparently 😂 I was like can’t feel it 🤷🏼♀️ x
I’m 19 weeks too, I asked the obstetrician about it today as I felt a tiny bit of fluttering a week or so ago but nothing since then. She was not at all concerned and didn’t even want to listen for baby. She said it can be 24 weeks before you get any frequent movement so I’m reassured. It’s so easy to mistake the feeling for something else this early, it’s really subtle
Just before my 20 week scan I messaged my midwife because I was starting to panic about not feeling movements. Baby was fine and I found out my placenta is at the front. It’s now 2 weeks later and just a few days ago I literally feel like overnight it’s gone from not feeling anything really to proper noticeable movements! So don’t panic like I did! It will happen soon enough x
@Amy I am so excited for when I can properly feel the kicks 😍
@Sam no idea where my placenta is, I have my scan next week so will wait and see! X
@Milly I guess it’s the impatience getting to me!!!!
@Katie can’t wait until I can feel little kicks 😍🤩
I'm 20 weeks and only started to feel him the last 6 days. It feels like bubbles bursting inside my tummy. Mostly like gas so I was confused too if it was him or wind 😅 however I started to feel it on and off each day, the same type of feeling but in different places. That's how I knew it was baby movements
I felt movements before 16 weeks with my first two babies! I’m now 23 weeks with my third and barely feel her! Sometimes I feel the odd flutter but no big kicks yet!
@Hannah I guess it’s different for everyone and every pregnancy ❤️
Mine felt like tapping at first but now it feels like full on bangs

Yes I don't feel much, I swear my last baby I felt more of a pattern at this stage and more obvious jabs/kicks but maybe I'm wrong.
i think it’s different for everyone, in my last pregnancy i felt thick gloops almost like a lava lamp around 20w and then they progressed into kicks visible from the outside around 21w but this time round i’ve felt bubbles from 15w and then they progressed into kicks visible from the outside around 18w some people describe it as butterflies, popcorn and all different things! if you think it’s baby it probably is, don’t doubt yourself mama!💛
