The weighted straw cups work for us xx
@Rachel we use these too x
Do you drink water in front of her? When you have a drink, give her a drink of her own. Hopefully she will start getting it xx
Ive resorted to nurofen syringe lol we have every type of cup (7 cups!!!) and she ‘drinks’ but then spits it all out, with the syringe she swallows each little squirt (I do about 2ml at a time lol) I do 4 syringes (so 20ml) 4 times a day 😂 not ideal but Im more worried about her being constipated than I am about her learning to drink as I know she will learn eventually
I use the tum tum straw cup and my lo drinks so much better with that cup. Just always offer them during/after each meal. I noticed my lo drank from it when I wasn’t trying to give it him, he wanted to be independent with it and do it himself. Maybe just leave it there for her so she can pick it up and explore it herself xx
Such wonderful advice, thank you! I’m going to try all the above 😍
We have tried every type of cup with our little girl since she was 6 months - it’s only this weekend she’s started using the tum tum cup (we’ve had it for 2 months). I think she’s seen others at nursery using it - I truly believe doesn’t matter on the cup and no one is really better than the other, they’ll drink when they’re ready. That’s just my experience though, after buying a stupid amount of cups to try 😅
My little one had munchkin cups but would get angry because of how hard it was to suck the water out so we got a TumTum and I couldn't recommend them enough and I can see why so many people on this app recommended them
Tum tum cup is the best my LO actively seeks it out now to drink the water-wouldnt take a sip like you say before but loves it now
Okay adding this TumTum to cart now! 😆
Another vote for tum tum straw cups as well 😊 x
To get them used to the taste of water my daughter has sips out of my glass. She loves having anything i have. She now drinks out of the tum tum straw cup but mainly out of my glass still.
Straw cups! My baby never even took a bottle but loves her straw!!! Greta for drinking soups as well😂 ifthey don't understand get a silicone straw cup, cover the little air hole and squeeze, it'll make the liquid come out of the straw and once they understand there's water, they should just start sucking!
I searched a high and low. Bought every single cup there’s to be bought. My LO simply chews on straws & any kind of sippy cup gets thrown out. So I finally came across the nuby cup with a slightly wider teat. This is the first one she’s actually took an and drinks lots of water from it. But I want to transition her to a straw cup now and I think the TumTum is the best, like everyone else says here.

A month or so later I wanted to return and share our progress! I got the tumtum cup which has been amazing. Every day I put water in it and give it to her multiple times a day, pretending to drink it first. For a longggg time she would pretend to suck from the straw and go yummmm lol copying me. Persistence paid off though, she soon started to drink a bit then spit it out lol but finally she is actually drinking from it. I leave the cup around and she even seeks it out when she is thirsty. Thank you all for your tips! ❤️💦
Omg Funny that you update with the TikTok cup bc same!! She drinks out of it now too ahaha. Glad to hear you guys are doing well!
We have a tum tum cup, it’s a ‘drink any way’ straw cup and it’s gotten my girl to drink more water than before. Had the same issue where she’d just spit it back out.. she still will and ends up drenched some times but she does drink more. I’d start there :)
