Clear your calendar where possible. You don't know how tired or sick you might be yet but you'll want your evenings n free time to rest regardless. I was fortunate to have the mild end of t1 but I basically only functioned at work with lots of water n ginger biscuits. Good luck x
@Jenny thank you! I’m concerned to do that as I don’t feel this pregnancy will last :(
Don't say that, I found out at 5 weeks and had SO SO much anxiety n stress, had to tell work straight away as I work with cytotoxic drugs n so didn't even have chance to process it before everyone was talking their own experiences to me for weeks on end. I also said I didn't want to think about it incase it doesn't last but honestly as long as you're doing everything you can to minimise risk you have nothing to worry about. Our health system is so advanced nowadays compared to the past, Dr's and midwives can do so much to help and are there to help. You will be fine, you need to be fine for your little one 💖 congratulations by the way x
Congratulations! My advice would be to do as little as possible, rest, get help and support from your partner and family if you can, anything you can do at work to lessen your load do it! I would also speak to your midwife or GP if you have very bad sickness and if you need to get signed off work for a couple of weeks don't be worried to. Don't be fobbed off that it's normal/ok to power through if you are really unwell. I was really ill in my first trimester, could barely eat or keep down anything and vomiting constantly so I felt awful and so exhausted I could barely function. In hindsight I can't believe I went to work during the very worst weeks and if it was to happen again I would get my doctor to sign me off until I felt better.
@Jenny I had to tell work at 3 weeks for similar reasons! I just can’t shake that it won’t stick. I don’t want to get my hopes up
I get you, try to keep focused on other things. I will keep everything crossed for you x
@Jenny thank you so much!
You are more than likely further along than 3 weeks. Technically you can have a scan… depending on your doc ect. Don’t stress, just try to relax as much as possible. Everything will be ok!!! Take your prenatal and try not to worry.
@Julie I am coming up 5 weeks now but still have 2 weeks until I can have a scan
When I was in my first trimester , I dealt with anxiety , nausea , and vomitting . The best advice is eat a lot ginger or organic ginger candies it’ll help with nausea . For anxiety , I was drinking magnesium, it helped me. Make sure you drink a lot of water and ofcourse rest up . Listen to meditation music for relaxation. I hope everything works out
@Jas Thank you! I really hope so 🤞🏻
Your welcome .
Get plenty rest
