They are able to do a check at the hospital to see if it's fluids or just pee. If in doubt call triage and get checked out. With my first I had a trickle only and didn't even know that my waters had started to go until they confirmed it with a test. May be worth putting on a maternity towel or panty liner to monitor it aswell.
@Heidi literally just a trickle but it was so sudden... My midwifes currently have a close eye on me already as I've already been admitted twice as I'm high risk🤦♀️
@Nicole I've just sent midwife a text to see what she says but I thought I'd put a pad on just in case as I really couldn't tell if it was pee or not 🤦♀️
Oh in that case, deffo call triage!! Better safe than sorry if you’re high risk xx
I would keep a pad on and ring triage they will more than likely ask you to come in for a swab to check if it’s your waters xx
@Heidi On it!
My friend had a trickle, and it turned out her waters had broken. Definitely go to hospital and get it checked.
Yep, call triage. It's a really quick and simple swab. I mentioned to my midwife today that I've been having a lot of what I thought was watery discharge, but I wasn't certain. She happened to have a swab with her and did it really quickly for me 😊
How far along are you
@Adrianna 34 weeks
How much leakage? I had a bit of a trickle the other day, like enough to run down my leg and the midwife was not concerned at all… Pretty sure she thought I peed myself when I know I didn’t 😂
